FALMOUTH

FALMOUTH

Falmouth is Cornwall's capital of cool with oodles of character to the area and plenty of things to do all year round. There’s some magic in the air in this town, but why is Falmouth so special? It’s a bustling University town full of creatives and quirky locals. Because of this diverse mix, Falmouth is home to some of Cornwall's most interesting ideas and vibrant independent businesses. A foodie’s paradise awaits with a ridiculous array of cafes, delis, pubs and restaurants, plus beautiful boutiques and shops.

festivals & nightlife

If you like a good festival, this is the place for you! Falmouth has a full calendar of events. To name just a few: Wonderfal music festival in April; The Falmouth Food Festival at the end of May. The International Sea Shanty Festival in June; the Falmouth Cringe comedy festival in July, Form Art Festival at the end of September, Falmouth Reggae Festival in October. Falmouth is also famous for it’s nightlife! After sampling dishes from around the world at one of the many restaurants, you have a plethora of pubs and bars in which to dance away (some of) the night (Things are usually wrapped up by 1 am!)

SURROUNDINGS

Falmouth is home to the World's third deepest natural Harbour (just beneath Menorca and Sydney.) Because Falmouth is surrounded by water it has its own mild micro-climate. Did we mention it's beautiful?! Falmouth is home to an abundant array of tropical plant life, a castle, beaches to die for, rowboats, working boats, super yachts, Tall Ships and a community like no other. It’s also very close to the absolutely beautiful Helford River - definitely worth a visit if you can!
